Saving Wishes By G.J. Walker-Smith

Synopsis:

This book is based in Australia about a teenaged girl who lives with her older brother who owns a cafe.  On her way out to the car one night in the rain, she nearly gets hit by a guy.  Come to find our he's an American on vacation for a couple months visiting his cousin. She falls in love.  He falls in love.  An old Flame comes into the picture.  A few surprise twists - actually a pretty good twist.  But to know the entire story you should READ it.

I don't tell the endings to books.  Sorry. Especially if it's worth reading.

Genre: Contemporary Teen Romance

This is part of a Book Series I found on Amazon.

I read this one on my iPhone and it was about 796 screens.  I'm not sure what it equates to in actual pages though.

What I can tell you though is that the book is pretty good.  Not too much swearing.  No gratuitous sex.  I'd let my 15-year-old read it.

Overall, it wasn't bad.  I contemplated buying the next book in the series, but ultimately, the book didn't engage me enough to justify the extra expense.  $5 isn't bad for a book, but when you're reading 6 or 7 a week, it gets expensive fast.  So I have to be selective.

However, I will hold onto this book and keep it  in the back of my mind should I find a lull and need a little brain candy to entertain me in the future.

RATING:  3.75 stars
